Good morning Tameside

Good afternoon residents,

Early morning warrants as part of GMP’s #Safe4Summer activity in #Tameside have resulted in five arrests for a range of offences.

Neighbourhood officers alongside the Neighbourhood Tasking Team have this morning carried out searches in two properties, with a large amount of Class A drugs and criminal paraphernalia found.

Three wanted males were arrested, with a further one male and one female arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. One offender was further arrested for assaulting a police officer during the property search.

Safe4Summer is part of the Government’s mission to restore and strengthen local policing in communities and reduce or prevent anti-social behaviour (ASB). As part of this, there will be a greater visibility of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers and partners as we work together across crime hot spot areas to make Tameside a safe place to live, work and socialise.

If you have any concerns, please reach out to your local neighbourhood officers or report directly to GMP by using LiveChat or calling 101. Always dial 999 in an emergency.
